Staying fit and healthy should be the top most priority for everyone. And whether you do it by going to the gym, doing yoga or adopting other forms of exercises it's one's personal choice. Realising its importance, a 68-year-old woman decided to hit the gym. A video of the elderly woman lifting weights was posted on the internet which has now gone viral and is serving as an inspiration for many.


In the video, the woman is seen training with her son Ajay Sangwan in a gym. ''Mom decided to make changes in her,'' reads the caption of the video shared on Instagram account named @weightliftermummy which now has more than 6,000 followers.


Wearing a salwar suit with a dupatta tied around her she can be seen warming up before her exercises. On the instructions of the gym trainer, she then attemptins to pick up weights by maintaining the correct posture. She also performs other exercises like squats and planks without any hesitation.






Netizens were impressed by the woman's dedication and took to the comments section to praise the elderly woman.


"Omg, Lots of love to aunty ji ... Itni pyari c hai ye .... Keep going and rocking aunty ji ... Love you," commented one user on the post.


"I started doing aerobics and gym workout from age of 46 till the age of 74 if you have the determination any lady can do it," wrote another user.


"Wow aunty. Keep it up. Aap dusri ladies ke liye prerna ho," commented a third on the video.


While a fourth wrote, "God bless you aunty insaan ka phela dharam khud ko kush rakhna hi hota hai".
