Chaos erupted among loco pilots as they engaged in a brawl over who gets to run the Udaipur-Agra Vande Bharat Express train. The train, which started its operation on September 2, has now become the centre of a controversy. In the scuffle that broke out between the loco pilots, some employees got injured while some railway properties also got damaged. The incident was captured in a video which is now going viral on social media. 


The dispute took place between the employees of Kota and Agra Railway Divison West-Central Railway, North-West Railway and Northern Railway gave orders to their respective staff to run the train. 


An argument broke out between the staff first which soon snowballed into a scuffle in which the driver, co-driver and guard of the train were attacked. Apart from this, angry employees also broke the guard room lock and shattered the glass of the cabin. One loco pilot was also injured.

As the matter escalated, the matter was informed to the Railway Board. 


Railway officials took cognisance of the matter after the video was widely shared on social media. The officials are working to identify the employees involved in the brawl and disciplinary action is expected against them.

GRP Gangapur City SHO Dalbir Singh said that a case has been filed against unidentified railway personnel based on a complaint from Agra guard Raghavendra Saraswat, according to a report by Jagran English. 


According to media reports, the Vande Bharat train on this route has been running late for the past few days due to such internal conflicts.
