13-Year-Old Girl's Joyride Ends In Disaster, Hangs Mid-Air From Ferris Wheel In UP Fair - On Cam

SDM Rajeev Nigam confirmed that the girl was safe. He also mentioned that two days earlier, he had personally visited the fair and ordered the swing to be shut down, but it was still operational.

A 13-year-old girl fell from a large swing and was left hanging from an iron angle at the Rakehti village in the Nighasan area, Kheri District of Uttar Pradesh. However, after much effort, the girl was safely brought down. The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

As per the report by ETV Bharat, several people were riding the swing, including the girl on Wednesday evening at the fair. Eyewitnesses reported that as soon as the operator started the swing, the girl slipped due to a jolt and was left dangling from an iron angle outside the swing. The girl showed remarkable courage by holding on to the angle and not letting go. She hung there, screaming, for about a minute.

However, reports later disclosed that permission for the swing had not been obtained, and the administration had previously shut it down, but it continued to operate. The sight of the girl hanging from the swing caused panic among the crowd. Following the commotion, the operator stopped the swing, and the frightened girl was carefully brought down. 

Nighasan Station In-Charge Mahesh Chandra stated that the girl left the scene after being rescued. Actions are being taken against the operation of such dangerous swings. SDM Rajeev Nigam also confirmed that the girl is safe but has not yet been identified. He also mentioned that two days earlier, he had personally visited the fair and ordered the swing to be shut down, but it was still operational. Strict action will be taken regarding the matter.

Video of the incident left social media users with a surprise for the girl being stuck and hanging on the swing. Angry over the maintainer, one of the netizens asked, "Where was the maintainer? Probably sleeping?"

Another said, "How did she even manage to get stuck there?"

The next said in a joke, "She was training for the Supergirl casting. Man, my fear of heights has gotten even worse."

Another also stated, "Should have rotated the Ferris wheel clockwise if possible, this way it was too dangerous as she got upside down, could have lost grip & fallen to death."
