Despite efforts being made by the governmental of controlling inflation in the country, prices of essential commodities at places like airports are higher than the market. Twitter user and journalist Farah Khan recently shared the bill for two samosas, chai and a water bottle she bought at Mumbai airport for Rs 490.
A picture of the samosas and the bill shared by the journalist on the micro-blogging site Twitter with the caption, "Two samosas, one chai and one water bottle for 490 Rs at Mumbai airport!! Kafi ache din aa gae hain," went viral.
The post garnered 1.9M views, 12.6k likes and several comments.
"Airport charges have always been exorbitant. Unsure how you have not noticed it this far. Samosa cost 200+ even at regular multiplexes. I popcorn at PVR cost 350+ Maybe this is the first time you bought something at the airport. Next time, plan better :)," wrote a user.
