Small acts of kindness make the world a better place to live. A video of one such act has gone viral on the internet. In the clip shared on the micro-blogging site twitter a person can bee seen holding a newspaper for an elderly man to read during their commute.
The old man travelling in a London Tube was finding it difficult to hold his newspaper due to parkinson disease. On seeing this, a stranger sitting opposite him in the same compartment helped the elderly man hold the newspaper and flip the pages. One can see the old man’s hands shaking in the video.
“This man with Parkinson's disease couldn’t hold his newspaper so a stranger held it still for him so he could read it. Faith in humanity restored,” read the caption of the post shared by Goodnews Movement’s on its handle.
The video according to Goodnews Movement’s was originally posted by a social media user who goes by @rosiemegangill.
Since being poste on the micro-blogging site, the video has amassed 155.9k views and more than 2,600 Likes.
"With so much negativity being shown on video, it’s refreshing to see a kind act of helping someone," wrote one user on seeing the video.
"I have Parkinson’s. It’s a tough road sometimes. Often you attract unkind remarks as the symptoms can make you look drunk or on drugs. So this is rather splendid to see," wrote another user.
"How lovely is this !!! Such humanity and kindness, so good to hear stories like this rather than people carrying knives, stabbings and killings... be kind, it doesn't cost anything, all it just needs is a good heart...," wrote a third.
