New Delhi: A video of a specially-abled food-delivery executive is going viral on social media. In the footage, a woman wearing the orange Swiggy uniform with the company's delivery bag attached to her motorised wheelchair is seen driving away. Her perseverance has moved netizens with many calling her an "inspiration". 


Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, shared the video on Twitter with the caption in Hindi, "Of course life is difficult, but we have learned never to give up,” she wrote while sharing the short clip. “Salute to this spirit".

According to MoneyControl, the video was shared on LinkedIn.


The video has been viewed over 249.5 thousand times and has received 12.4 thousand likes. Many Twitter users have commented on how inspiring the woman is, one wrote, “There are those who fight to change their circumstances and those who accept things as they are… She’s a fighter ”.


















Besides this, several raised concerning issues like job security for disabled people, safety equipment for the delivery agent, infrastructure, and more opportunities.


A Twitter user, “Yes I salute lady and her hard work. But it forces me to think. Whether as a society or government, we fail to cater to the needs of handicapped people. So they need to go through such a hardship.”


















Earlier this year, in July, a specially-abled Zomato delivery agent was commended for his work. A video of the man wearing the food delivery company's t-shirt riding a wheelchair through the busy street went viral.
