Wearing a helmet while riding a bike is extremely important. But sometimes people tend to forget to carry it in a hurry and end up paying fine. However, not everyone grabs the attention of the police and gets into a hilarious exchange with them.

A man in Pune was sent a chalan by the police after he was clicked not wearing a helmet by CCTV cameras installed on the streets. On receiving the challan , Melvin Cherian, an entrepreneur shared the challan on the micro-blogging site Twitter and sarcastically wrote, "Thank you @PuneCityPolice. I look good. Will pay the chalan though."

The tweet by Cherian, the co-founder of a health tech firm also had a photo of him not wearing a helmet.

The Pune police responded immediately to the post and wrote, "Sure. P.S: A black helmet will go very well with that nice black jacket though." They also concluded their post with the hashtag #WearAHelmet.

Cherian, later responded to the department’s response and wrote, “Yes sir.”

The reply by Pune police impressed netizens who flooded the comment box with their thoughts.

One of the user wrote, "Helmet wearing is safety. Safe ride is better option than a good look and paying challan,"

"This is what we need. Humorous and humble conversations," wrote another.

While a third wrote, Sir sincerely request u to take charge of Mumbai city. We need police admn like this."

"Pune police at its best," wrote a fourth.
