New Delhi: A man in US's Mississippi state has been hovering over Tupelo, Mississippi with allegedly a stolen aircraft threatening to intentionally crash the airplane has been arrested after the plane landed due to running out of fuel. The pilot of a "taken" airplane took steps to crash the plane into a Walmart store, revealed the Daily Mail on Saturday. As per the reports, the 9-seater plane was taken from the Tupelo Airport at around 5 am and the pilot has been flying over the town around and around for more than 60 minutes.






The Tupelo police department said they are in contact with the pilot who threatened to intentionally crash the plane. 


“State law enforcement and emergency managers are closely tracking this dangerous situation,” Gov. Tate Reeve s wrote on Twitter. “All citizens should be on alert and aware of updates from the Tupelo Police Department.”






According to the information, the pilot who stole the plane had called the police on 911. After his threat, the US police immediately swung into action and evacuated the mall and the surrounding area. Along with this, the police has issued a warning that people should not go to that side until the information about the danger is averted.


“Citizens are asked to avoid that area until an all clear is given," the police said, as reported by AP.

Meanwhile, a statement has been issued by the Tupelo Police Department regarding the matter. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police has issued an alert.
