The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 near the south pole of the Moon on Wednesday, August 23 was a historic moment as Indian became the fourth country after the United States, Russia, and China to achieve this feat. People across the country celebrated this significant day in different ways. A video of one such celebration has gone viral on social media.


Shared on X, formerly Twitter by user named C Lekha (@ChhaviLeekha), the clip shows an inflight announcement being made on an IndiGo flight about the success of India’s lunar mission. As soon as the announcement about India achieving this historic feat is made, the entire flight erupts in cheers.


"A lot has already been said about #Chandrayaan-3 and yet this share is about the immense pride that everyone on @IndiGo6E felt whether on ground or in the air… our captain’s announcement on flight on this thrilling feat achieved by our #Bharat at that moment," read the caption shared along with the video by Lekha, who works for IndiGo.






Since being shared the video has garnered close to 25,000 views and several comments.

"This gave me goosebumps!!," wrote another user on the post.


Meanwhile, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) released another video of Chandrayaan-3's Pragyan rover walking on the Moon's South Pole on Saturday. 


"Pragyan rover roams around Shiv Shakti point in pursuit of lunar secrets at the South Pole," read the tweet shared by ISRO.
