Noida: Women Slap Elderly Couple At Complex Over Objection To Dog Walk, Video Goes Viral

The situation escalated when the dog approached the three-year-old daughter of a resident from V Tower, causing alarm and pushing the parents to shout.

Two women assaulted an elderly couple in a Noida housing complex after a dispute over walking their dog in the compound. A video of the incident captured on the phone went viral on social media.

The viral video posted on X shows two women arguing with the couple. Later, other residents intervene in their matter in order to stop them from attacking the senior citizens. The incident took place at the Hyde Park Society in Noida’s Sector 78.

In the video, a woman threatens the elderly couple saying, "How dare you touch me? Aise Thappad marungi na tumko(I'll slap you so hard).” Later, the woman slapped the elderly man amid the argument. 

Issue Resolved

According to a report by Hindustan Times, police said that after receiving a complaint from the elderly man, a case of assault and criminal intimidation was registered at the Sector 113 police station. However, since the girl apologised to him, the issue was resolved, and the case was settled on Friday morning.

The investigation revealed that around 9:30 pm on Thursday, two sisters from X Tower in The Hyde Park complex were walking their pet dog within the society’s premises. "As they walked near the children's playground, one of the sisters, a law student, unleashed her dog. When residents noticed the dog roaming freely in the playground, they raised concerns," an officer said.

The situation escalated when the dog approached the three-year-old daughter of a resident from V Tower, causing alarm and pushing the parents to shout.

The officer explained that the dispute worsened when one of the sisters slapped the woman who initially objected to the dog. "When the woman's in-laws arrived at the scene after hearing the commotion, they attempted to calm the situation," the officer said, adding that an elderly man was slapped twice while trying to separate his daughter-in-law and the sisters.

The incident leads the residents to call the police helpline 112, leading to the arrival of a Sector 113 police team at the scene.
