A man in Delhi shared how he was scolded by a delivery agent when he ordered biryani ahead of Diwali. The man in a Reddit post shared that the delivery agent asked him to not eat chicken and mutton, saying this is not "good in our religion". The delivery agent further asked him to eat something "clean".
The man said he froze after listening to what the delivery boy said. "What should I do? I have his number and name, he knows my home, if I report him he might make a scene. Din kharab mood kharab," the man wrote in the post.
The post left other users furious as many questioned the "moral policing". "Man this was one of my biggest fears - this kind of moral policing. You should report this dude and make sure to tell them over email or call, that this person should never come to deliver at your place again," wrote one user.
Another user said, "Why is he rubbing his belief on you? Ask him not to deliver chicken then!" "Where is India going? Soon people will start having physical fights about the food they eat," a third person wrote, while another person opined, "Why is he rubbing his belief on you? Ask him not to deliver chicken then! Dharam keliye."
"These stupid morons are half literate and brainwashed. Buffalo was sacrificial food for 2000 years. Even swami vivekananda said that no brahmin can be brahmin without eating meat. The age of social media and moral policing by stupid godmen has made everyone a police," wrote a person.
A man said something similar happened with him. "Something similar happened with me . Ordered pork hotdog while ago from flippin burgers. Delivery partner was muslim. When guy came to deliver he said its pork inside. I was froze for second then I said I know. I guess his religion doesn't allow to eat pork so I he just subtly let me know its haram. Though it was weird he just said that once so let it slide," he wrote.
