People engaged in delivery of essential commodities, particularly during crisis like Covid pandemic and cyclones often goes unnoticed. However, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri shared a video online applauding a gas agency employee who delivered an LPG cylinder amid heavy rain during Cyclone Biparjoy in a Rajasthan village.  


While sharing the video and appreciating the man's effort on Twitter Puri wrote, "Ensuring energy availability. With commendable dedication towards duty, this undaunted foot soldier of India's energy sector braves the impact of #Biparjoy to supply an #Indane refill at a consumer's home in village Dhok in Barmer, Rajasthan."


In the clip posted by the minister, a man can be seen carrying a gas cylinder to a house in Barmer's Dhok village amid heavy rain. The rod in front of the house is completely waterlogged as there is heavy flow of rain water. 






The video since being shared has garnered over 1 lakh views and tons of comments appreciating the delivery man's effort.


"I must say that these delivery people are most underrated and under paid. They lift this weight and climb floors & floors on a daily basis to keep several kitchens working. High time their salaries are reviewed & revised. Also they need better vehicles for efficient delivery," commented one user after seeing he video.
