We Indians are very good at Jugaad, a quick-fix solution for problems. Several videos of people coming up with their own technique or Jugaad to make their work easier is shared on the internet that amazes us with the application of mind put in by the individuals. Now a video showing a gas lighter turned into an important hair styling tool has gone viral on the internet.


"Showed this reel to my wife and she said yeh toh kuch bhi nahi hai [this is nothing] and gave five similar examples how more precisely we used to do this," reads the caption of the post shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, by a user @madan_chikna.


The clip opens to show a man heating a gas lighter on a stove burner. He then rolls the heated lighter around a section of a woman’s hair and waits for a few seconds. After a while, he removes the lighter and the hair gets curled as intended.






Since being shared the video has garnered close to 50,000 views and tons of comments.


"When I was a kid my Masi and other ladies used to iron their hair to straighten them and use sansi to curl hair!," commented one user on the post.






"I forward this to my wife, Now i have hot chimtas mark on my cheeks," wrote another user jokingly.






"I have seen my ex & her friend use the hot iron with a handkerchief to straighten their hair," commented a third.
