Viral meme dog Balltze Cheems died at the age of twelve on Saturday after battling cancer. An official statement issued on the Instagram page dedicated to the dog announced the demise of the most famous dog on the internet. Subsequently, netizens started reacting to the news and took to social media to pay their tributes to this dog of the Shiba Inu breed. The dog fell asleep on Friday morning during his last thoracentesis surgery. Later, the dog did not wake up. This happened as the team looking after the dog was busy arranging chemotherapy and other possible treatment for him after the last operation.






The Instagram post shared on a page dedicated to Balltze Cheems urged people not to be sad  and “remember the joy that Balltze brought to the world.”


It further said, “ A Shiba Inu with a round smiling face connecting you and me, he has helped many people during the pandemic and brought a lot of joy to many of you, but now his mission has been completed.”


The post also said the dog’s caretaker said they believe he is running freely in the sky and having a lot of delicious food with his new friends. It also mentioned that he will always be inside people’s hearts. 


The post also extended thanks to the medical staff, including Jessica and Tiffany, who had helped Balltze for the past six months and for doing an amazing job of taking care of Balltze. Meanwhile, many users on Instagram commented on the sudden demise of Balltze. One of the users said, “RIP buddy you brought a lot of people happiness.”


Another user said, “He is a legend of the Internet world, a meme founder and now, he is immortal. Rest in love sweet Ball Ball, you were and are loved by billions all over the world.”
