Some teachers take extra effort to make them feel valued and loved. One such heartwarming video of a kindergarten teacher and her students has gone viral on the internet. The teacher had asked her students to colour her dress and in turn, she would wear it to school on her last day.
Shared on Instagram by Heather Stansberry, the the 25-year-old primary school teacher from the United States is seen wearing a long coat in the classroom. Moments later, the students ask her about the dress she had promised to wear. On the request, the teacher removes the coat and shows them the white dress. On seeing it the students begin to scream in joy.
"A few weeks ago I told my first class ever that they would be allowed to colour on my white dress for the last day of school. They were so excited. The day is finally here, the dress is all done. It's the last day I'm going to wear it and we're going to see their reactions," the teacher said in the video.
Since being shared, the post has amassed 148,990 likes and several comments.
