A barber was caught on camera using his spit to massage a customer's face at a salon in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh.

A video is going viral on the internet showing the barber, identified as Yusuf, using his spit to massage the face of the customer.

The customer, meanwhile, remains unaware of the barber's act. The UP Police have registered a case against the accused and have started searching for him.

The 40-second video was purportedly recorded by the barber himself. In the end of the video, the barber is seen giving a thumbs up to the camera while the customer also gives a thumbs up while smiling.

The video received strong response and criticism from internet users who sought action against the accused.

The video is said to be 10 days old. After the video went viral, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) workers staged a protest against Yusuf and demanded strict action.

Meanwhile, Yusuf is absconding after the incident and the police is on a lookout for him.

The incident is not the first of its kind as earlier this June a video went viral from Lucknow where a salon staff massaged a customer’s face with his spit.

According to Shashank Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, the customer Pandit Ashish Kumar, an Unnao resident, gave an FIR under relevant sections in this connection after which the accused barber was arrested and sent to judicial custody.

In a similar such incident in Shamli, from UP, a salon worker was caught mixing his saliva into a customer’s face pack. The incident was exposed when one of the customers recorded the act.
