New Delhi: A Japanese man named Toco, who spent over Rs 11.5 lakhs to transform himself into a dog, released a video of his first public appearance after he finally stepped outdoors in his collie costume. As per the description of the video on his YouTube channel 'I want to be an animal', the video was shot one year ago but was uploaded recently.

It was shot as part of an interview by RTL, a German TV station.

Have a look at the video below.

In the video, Toco, appearing to be of the Collie breed, is seen being taken out for a walk with a leash around the neck. The human-dog sniffs other dogs in the park and rolls around on the floor just like animals do.

The video has been met with mixed reactions from viewers, with many approaching the dog in a friendly manner while some walking past it.

Users on social media were in disbelief. Commenting on the video, a user wrote, "This is the most bizarre and insane thing I’ve ever seen."

Another user said, "I love how we can witness dogs experiencing the uncanny valley, that is phenomenal. Besides that, if even dogs are unsettled it says a lot."

A user praised the costume and said, "The costume is really well done, I see why it was so expensive. I'd love to know more about how it was made and how a person fits inside."

"But how do you walk in it, where does your leg go? Would be very interesting to see how it actually looks inside the costume," an user who was confused regarding the costume wrote.

There were some negative comments on the video as well to which a person replied by saying, "I'll never understand why other people can't just let people be happy."

Another hilarious comment read, "Imagine being on mushrooms or something and a dog waves at you like a human 😂"

The video on YouTube alone has gathered more than 2.5 million views with two and a half thousand upvotes.
