Disney workers seen in their character costumes every day changed to Yoga pants Tuesday as the world marked the International Yoga Day. The workers planked, sat in Padmasana pose and did the Adho Mukha Svanasana at the Walt Disney World in Florida, and also in other Disney properties across the globe to mark the special day.

Yoga enthusiasts at the Florida resort have been celebrating the day since 2016.

On Tuesday, more than 1,700 workers spread out Yoga mats in front of Cinderella’s Castle at the Florida property, news agency AP reported, adding that the Disneyland Resort in California saw 1,000 of its workers start their morning with a Yoga session in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Disney workers at the resorts in Hawaii and Vero Beach, Florida, also participated in International Yoga Day events, while photographs emerged of people performing Yoga in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris and in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Tokyo Disney Resort too.

Today we celebrate International Yoga Day by adding magic to mindfulness in a way only Disney can do!

“From yoga in front of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort to the Halawai lawn of Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, cast members are enjoying ways to tap into both their balance, power, and Zen,” read a DisneyPark blog post.

It added: “Since 2015, countries around the globe have observed this day and the benefits provided by the ancient Indian tradition of yoga, including how the practice embodies a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.”

At Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Shanghai Disney, the Yoga sessions were conducted virtually, according to the AP report.
