A bizarre incident during a flight left passengers surprised when a fellow traveller turned 'chaiwala' for them and served tea at 36,000 feet. Airlines follow strict rules regarding bringing open food and drinks during a flight, forcing flyers to pay high prices for onboard snacks. However, the passengers of an IndiGo flight recently had a memorable experience due to this man who took care of their refreshment.

The video of the man serving tea to passengers has gone viral on social media, with some criticising the behaviour and mentioning how the airlines have strict rules for carrying open food, and how he was allowed to carry the tea on the flight.

In the video, the man can be seen serving tea from a flask to a woman in a disposable cup. He is accompanied by another man who is handing him the cups and also recording the incident. As they stroll down the aisle of the IndiGo airplane, they serve tea to more people, mimicking the style in which food is served on Indian trains.

Some users also questioned as to how the cabin crew and pilot allowed this to happen and how the man was allowed to bring tea onboard in the first place.

One user commented: "What happened to the rules...norms of carrying liquid?"

Another user, expressing concern over the incident, said: "How easy is it to poison fellow passengers and compromise the entire flight? IndiGo management and airport security need to be held accountable".

Another user commented, "I am wondering how did they get the tea through security? Security doesn't allow 200ML of water, this guy got like 1L tea!"

"Only Indian can do this anywhere anytime," the fourth user wrote.

"The amount of people condoling this act proves there are still sensible people in this country! People like in the above available footage should refrain themselves from boarding," an Instagram user commented.

Meanwhile, one user joked: "Soon there will be mung phali wala chaat masala".

"There is nothing wrong with this! They got their own homemade tea and just enjoying it," another user commented, supporting the people involved in the incident.
