As India suffered a humiliating 10-wicket loss to England in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup, millions of cricket fans in India were left heartbroken. Several fans also vented their ire on Twitter as Rohit Sharma and his team faltered in another ICC tournament.
Alex Hales remained unbeaten on 86 off 47 balls and Jos Buttler scored 80 off 49 balls as England chased down a 169-run target in 16 overs at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. England thus entered the final where they will take on Pakistan at the MCG on Sunday.
Put in to bat, India posted 168 for six after Virat Kohli's 40-ball 50 and Hardik Pandya's 33-ball 63. While the Indian bowlers failed to take a single wicket, Chris Jordan returned with 3 for 43 for England.

"Winning is temporary but losing with 10 Wickets is permanent," tweeted a user, recalling India's 10-wicket loss to Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that he does not mind the loss, but he does mind "India not showing up today".
"I don't mind India losing: victory and defeat are part of sports. But I do mind India not showing up today," Tharoor tweeted.
Some even claimed that India were now the new "chokers" in international cricket, taking over the mantle from South Africa. Since the year 2013, India have not won a single ICC trophy. They have played as many as four semi-finals and two finals.
