Bengaluru, which is popular for its fast and hustling life, has only one thing that can slow it down and that is the famous traffic jams. And in those long congestion and the ongoing struggles with ride-hailing services like Ola and Uber have once again made headlines. However, one commuter found an innovative way to navigate the city's gridlock, winning over the internet with his creativity.

A social media user, who goes by the name Pathik, shared a now-viral image of himself hitching a ride on a Porter two-wheeler—an app typically used for transporting goods rather than passengers. With the delivery partner riding up front and the app’s branding visible on his helmet, Pathik humorously captioned the post: “Had to porter myself to office today because no Ola, Uber.”

Unexpected Safety Alert from Rapido

In another traffic-related incident, a Bengaluru commuter experienced an unexpected moment of concern from ride-hailing app Rapido. The man, who found himself stuck on a flyover due to severe congestion, was surprised when he received a safety alert from the app. He later narrated the incident in a social media post, explaining that his auto-rickshaw had remained stationary for an extended period, triggering the alert.

App-based cab services like Rapido often check in with passengers when their hired vehicles remain motionless for an unusually long time to ensure their safety. In this instance, however, it was simply a case of Bengaluru’s notorious traffic holding up the journey.

While some commuters find humor and creative solutions in the situation, many hope for lasting improvements in Bengaluru’s transport infrastructure.
