A video of a man wielding a pistol during a road rage incident in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida West is going viral. The agitated man seemed to threaten a motorist in the video. The clip was reportedly shot in the Bisrakh Police Station's jurisdiction. However, the Bisrakh Police clarified it is an old video.
In the 17-second viral clip, 10-12 people can be seen arguing on the street. One of the parties appeared to have two persons banded up. One of them was waving around a pistol. After the video went viral on social media, a wave of concern spread among netizens.
As per media reports, the police registered a complaint in the matter after the incident came to their notice and took action after an investigation. The accused were arrested. The police have asked the public not to spread rumours and asserted that peace prevailed in the area.
Earlier this month, a retired armyman from Greater Noida was accused of a "attempting to murder" for allegedly shooting at a bus carrying college students. The incident was reported from NH 58 in Meerut. The accused, Nitin Sirohi, allegedly fired the shots during an altercation with a food delivery agent. One of the students suffered an injury after the bullet grazed his belly.
Last month, a video of a group of men gathering in the middle of a road to celebrate a friend's birthday in Greater Noida surfaced on social media. The video showed one of the men brandishing a gun as the birthday boy cut the cake on a car's bonnet. The man also fired shots from the gun.
