US President Donald Trump during his address to Congress called out the Joe Biden administration for spending millions of dollars on making “mice transgender” in a slip-up for what was supposed to be “transgenic mice”.
During his address, Trump said, “$8 million for making mice transgender. This is real”.
Soon after the speech, the Internet broke into a meme fest and trolled not only Donald Trump but also JD Vance and Mike Johnson for laughing at the remark.

A user wrote on X, "Trump made a HISTORIC blunder during his speech while bragging he canceled $8 million in funding to turn Mice 'transgender.' The funding was for TRANSGENIC studies, where scientists introduce human disease cells like Alzheimer’s to study a cure. Unreal."
Another user posted on X, "I can’t believe this needs to be said. TransGENIC mice are not TransGENDER mice".
