Dogs are an incredibly loyal and clever animal, making them the ideal human companions. Due to their qualities, man has used them for various purposes like guarding, herding, and hunting for thousands of years. We often come across videos on the internet that showcase the human-like intelligence of dogs.
In one such video shared on the microblogging site Twitter, a dog is seen tied to a tractor trolley on a road. While another dog, white in colour, is lying motionless next to it. The dog tied to the trolley drags and pulls the other dog but there is no movement of any kind. Soon a man, who seems to be the owner of the dog, appears in the frame and assuming the dog is dead tries to drag it away by pulling it with its legs. But to his surprise the dog pretending to be dead wriggles away from his hand.
Though the other dog and the man in the clip were stunned by its behaviour, the video shared on Twitter by @ChannelInteres is bound to make you laugh your heart out.
Dogs, when threatened by either humans or other animals have the ability to pretend dead. Another reason for attempting such a move can be to escape punishment from their parents. However, they can not hold on to the antic for a long period of time.
