A 70-year-old woman in the United Kingdom has won a lottery that will pay her 10,000 pounds (approximately Rs 10.37 lakh) every month for the next 30 years. Yes, you heard that right. Doris Stanbridge from Dorking matched all the winning numbers: 2, 11, 17, 30, 38, and the Life Ball 3, on August 3 to win the jackpot in the Set For Life lottery. The win, Stanbridge says has given her a reason to  live until she is 100.

According to the National Lottery, Stanbridge's journey to winning the lottery began when she was at home with her 3 daughters and spotted some money spiders in her home and garden and used the creepy crawlies sighting as a prompt to buy a Set For Life ticket via the App.

"We had my 70th birthday party so we had been busy. I saw an email from The National Lottery. I logged on to the App, thinking I had won £10 and then saw ‘Congratulations, you’ve won £10KThousand a month for 30 years’. I said to Keith [Doris’ husband], ‘have I read that right? Does that say what I think it says? No, it can't be!’," said Stanbridge.

To be sure about the win, Stanbridge rushed to her son-in-law's and confirmed with them about the jackpot. And after being fully convinced, she opened a bottle of her birthday Champagne to celebrate the win. The following day, an official conformation was sent to Stanbridge by the National Lottery.

"It still seems a bit strange when I think about the win and that I will get that money every month for 30 years. It gives me a reason to be around until I am 100!," said Stanbridge.

Doris and her husband Keith have already bought a new bed and an air fryer and have also enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Cornwall. Now they plan to revamp their hose of 50 years. They also want to treat their family with a holiday abroad.
