The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Telangana would witness light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places over the next two days. Neighbouring Andhra Pradesh is also expected to receive moderate rain or thundershowers.


The Hyderabad meteorological department said thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Karimnagar, Peddapally, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubbabad, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Wanaparthi, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana for the next two days.






The Regional Meteorological Department (Amaravti) said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at one or two places over North Coast Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), Yanam, South Coast Andhra Pradesh (SCAP), and Rayalaseema on Monday and Tuesday. A gradual rise in temperature of 2-4 degrees Celsius is likely over NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalseema.

Bengal To Get Rain Under Influence Of Cyclone Mocha On May 10


The IMD said a low pressure area formed over south-east Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclone and likely to move towards the Bangladesh-Myanmar coast later this week, skirting West Bengal and Odisha.


The IMD has forecast moderate rainfall in several districts across West Bengal from Monday. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning in the city, North and South 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Bankura, Birbhum, Purba Medinipur, Howrah, Purba and Paschim Bardhaman, a met office spokesperson told PTI.


The met department said there is very little possibility of rains caused by the cyclone in the next two days in Bengal.
