Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, G Kishan Reddy, on Sunday asked the Telangana BJP leaders and cadres to effectively oppose Telangana Rashtra Samithi's (TRS) false propaganda claiming the ruling party leaders are spreading lies about BJP.
Addressing the party leaders at a three-day state-level training camp in Hyderabad on Sunday, he asked the party leaders to work hard to bring the BJP to power in the state. He advised them to begin preparing for the assembly elections, which are scheduled for later next year.
Kishan Reddy said TRS leaders are spreading lies about the BJP party, adding that it is strange that a ruling party is criticising an opposition party.
He claimed that because the TRS had nothing to say about its government's work in the state, it was resorting to false propaganda against the BJP. He alleged that the TRS won the by-election in Munugode by threatening people that if it is defeated, it will stop implementing welfare schemes.

He also urged party leaders and workers not to be afraid of being imprisoned as a result of the state government's oppressive actions, saying that the people of Telangana will continue the campaign against the TRS till it achieves its logical conclusion.
He also made it clear that the Central Investigative Agencies (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Income Tax Department were not taking orders from the Prime Minister's Office, but were simply doing their jobs and adhering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of zero tolerance for corruption.
State BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar, National General Secretary and in-charge for Telangana Tarun Chugh, BJP MP K. Laxman, and national Vice President D.K. Aruna attended the meeting.
