Chennai: An engineering student who collapsed while walking inside the CMR Engineering college premises died on the way to the hospital on Friday. It is suspected that the student died of cardiac arrest but the actual cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
According to ANI, Medical CI, Rajasekhar Reddy said, "Telangana | A B. Tech 1st-yr student of CMR college y'day collapsed while going to college premises."

"He was shifted to hospital but was declared brought dead. We've no info on it, neither has received any complaints. Might be a case of natural death," he said.
The college is located at Gundla Pochampally municipal limits.
Ch Gopal Reddy, Director of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions told Deccan Chronicle, the student Sachin was returning to the classroom after using the washroom when he suddenly collapsed.
The management immediately took him to the hospital but he was declared dead, he said.
Sachin from Rajasthan was residing at Suchitra near Kompally. Later, the college authorities handed over the body of Sachin to his parents.
Deaths due to cardiac arrest are on the rise in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, a 19-year-old boy collapsed and died while dancing at a marriage function.
In another case, a youth died after collapsing while playing badminton at Lalpet in Hyderabad. A cop also collapsed and died after an intense workout at a gym in Hyderabad. The incident was also caught on camera and sent shock waves across the state.
