A clash erupted between Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and BJP supporters over the completion of Nellikal Lift irrigation project in Nagarjuna Sagar, Nalgonda district, Telangana. In the course of the altercation, BJP workers from Nalgonda claimed that BRS workers attacked the party's District President, K Sridhar Reddy. On Tuesday, Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy criticized the reported assault on his party members.


According to ANI, A scuffle broke out between BRS and BJP workers in Nagarjuna Sagar, Nalgonda district, earlier on Tuesday.

Taking to X, Telangana BJP chief, "Goondaism, the hooliganism of BRS continues in Telangana. Today, it is the BJP Nalgonda District President, Shri Sridhar Reddy, who was attacked by the BRS hooligans. Sridhar Reddy was peacefully protesting the unfulfilled promise of KCR on the completion of the Nellikal Lift Irrigation project."













"I strongly condemn the attack on Shri Sridhar Reddy by BRS activists. The party will take this complaint to the EC also," he said. 

Further, Kishan Reddy in a statement said that KCR promised to complete Nellikal Lift irrigation project once BRS candidate was elected from the constituency. However, the project has not been completed till now.  He said, "Irritated over KCR's visit, BRS goondas attacked in broad daylight in the presence of hundreds of people."










On Wednesday, G Kishan Reddy anticipated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would face defeat in both Gajwel and Kamareddy constituencies in the upcoming assembly polls.


Addressing the media, Reddy, also the Union Minister for Tourism, accused both BRS and Congress of conspiring to undermine the BJP candidate in Kamareddy.
