Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao visited the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram in Muchintal On Sunday. He was welcomed with Poorna Kumbham and chanting of Vedic hymns.
Sri Ramanujacharya 1000th birth anniversary Celebrations will be held from February 2-14. During his visit, the Chief Minister met with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at the Ashram, where they discussed the preparations for the upcoming celebrations. They went to Ashram's Yagashala and spoke about the plans for the Sahasra Kundathmaka Sri Lakshmi Narayana Yagam, which will be conducted following all the rituals.
Reportedly, the Chief Minister asked SPDCL chairman and managing director Raghuma Reddy to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply at the Ashram during the Yagam. Administrators were asked to supply 24x7 water on this occasion.
The CM directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make all arrangements for Yagam at the Ashram. He wanted officials from all departments to work together to make the required preparations for the event.
He reviewed the arrangements for unveiling the statue of Sri Ramanujacharya at Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram. The 216-foot statue of Bhagavad Ramanuja will be erected on 200 acres at the cost of Rs 1,200 crore. The festival lasts for 12 days in February.
President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Modi, CJI Justice NV Ramana, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of various states have already been invited for these celebrations.
