'May Wipe Out Growth Achieved So Far': Telangana CM KCR Warns People Against Supporting Congress

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao warned people not to entertain the Congress party lest it would wipe out the growth achieved so far in the state.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao accused the party of neglecting the development of Telangana during its rule. Rao also warned people not to support the Congress, underscoring that the party might wipe out the growth achieved so far, PTI reported.

Speaking at a public meeting at Nagarkurnool, Rao criticised Congress leaders who claimed that they would abolish the 'Dharani' land records management portal if the party came to power. He argued that such a move would only benefit middlemen and create hurdles in land transactions.

"BRS government means farmers’ kingdom. Congress is proclaiming that it will abolish the ‘Dharani’ portal. It is nothing but encouraging for middlemen. Do we want it?" he asked the public.

Highlighting Telangana's accomplishments, Rao mentioned that the state now leads in per capita income and per capita consumption of power, despite experiencing power cuts before its formation in 2014.

Rao highlighted the positive outcomes of the reorganisation of revenue administration in the state. The number of revenue mandals (administrative units) increased from 459 to 612, and in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, the number of MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer) offices rose from 64 to 74.

He also emphasised that Telangana now leads in per capita income, per capita power consumption, and the development of the IT sector.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that the rapid transformation of the state cannot be attributed solely to one individual but was the result of collective efforts. He mentioned that people from other states are looking at the Telangana model of development.  

During the event, Chief Minister Rao inaugurated the Integrated District Offices Complex for Nagarkurnool, the District Police Office building, and the BRS party office.

Several dignitaries, including Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy, Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, and Director General of Police Anjani Kumar, were present.
