Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will tour the districts where crops have suffered extensive damage due to hailstorms and unseasonal rains. The Chief Minister has directed concerned ministers, the Chief Secretary, and officials of the agriculture department to submit details on the crop damage due to hailstorms.


According to an ABP Desam report, CM KCR would undertake the tour either on Wednesday or Thursday after the officials submit the reports on the extent of damages to crops.


Crops like sugarcane, jowar, and vegetables were damaged in some parts of the affected districts. There are reports of damage to paddy crops in districts like Siddipet and Medak.


 On Monday, the opposition BJP and Congress demanded the state government provide immediate relief to farmers who had suffered losses. 


Meanwhile, Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao asked the BRS party leaders to reach out to the farmers. He asked key functionaries of the party to explain pro-farmer steps being implemented by the Telangana government and assure them of help to overcome the loss.


Indigo Flight From Ahmedabad Hit By Hailstorm At Hyderabad Airport


An IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad suffered minor damage when it encountered a hailstorm while landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.


According to an IANS report, no one was injured in the incident that occurred on Saturday evening. Photographs of the damage to the aircraft surfaced on Monday.The aircraft's radome and windshields were damaged in the hailstorm, but it managed to land safely.


 Flight 6E 6594 was hit by a hailstorm during its descent towards the airport in Shamshabad, about 30 km from the city.The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Saturday, when Hyderabad and surrounding districts witnessed heavy rainfall and hailstorm.The damaged parts of the aircraft were later replaced.
