A day after BJP suspended MLA Raja Singh from the party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) General Secretary Ahmed Pasha Quadri on Wednesday wrote to Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy demanding expulsion proceedings be initiated against Raja Singh.

Demanding Raja Singh's expulsion, AIMIM MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri wrote in a letter, "A member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Raja Singh has repeatedly conducted himself in a manner that is unbecoming of a member of the house. His utterances inside and outside the House have resulted in diminishing the dignity of the legislative assembly. His conduct has breached this House's privileges, resulting in collective contempt."

"Raja Singh's latest statement against Prophet Muhammed and Islam has caused immense hurt to the sentiments of Muslims across India. It is a blatant violation of his oath as a member of the legislative assembly."

"Raja Singh has repeatedly incited violence and promoted enmity, hatred and ill-will against Muslims. Thus, he has also violated his oath to uphold the "integrity of India". This statement is the most recent example proving that he is unfit to be a member of the house," Ahmed Quadri further stated in a letter to Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas.

Alleging Raja Singh's attitude is unbecoming of an MLA, AIMIM's Quadri demanded the BJP leader's expulsion from Assembly. "It must be reiterated that his conduct is not only unbecoming of a member of the House but also a violation of his oath," Quadri requested Assembly Speaker.

Speaking to new agency ANI, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "On behalf of the party, our MLA and General Secretary Ahmed Pasha Quadri wrote to Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy that expulsion proceedings be initiated against Raja Singh (suspended BJP MLA). His attitude is unbecoming of an MLA."
