Suspended BJP leader T Raja Singh was again taken into custody by Shahinayatgunj police in Hyderabad on Thursday. Earlier today notices were served to him under 41A CrPC. Hyderabad police to book BJP MLA under PD ACT. The Act is invoked against culprits because they are believed to be a threat to society.


Telangana police issued notices on Thursday to Raja Singh under 41(A) CrPC from two different police stations -- Shahinayathgunj PS and Mangalhat PS -- on the cases booked in the months of February 2022 and April 2022. Top police source confirmed to ABP News that the lawmakers will face action under Preventive Detention Act.


Massive protests had taken place on August 23, against the leader for his alleged statement.

Earlier on Thursday, while issuing a video statement after fresh notices were served, Raja Singh alleged that Minister KT Ramarao, Home Minister Md Mohamood Ali and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi are responsible for creating communal situation in Hyderabad.


Meanwhile, Raja Singh's lawyer Karunsagar claimed that he has received death threat calls from several places. "I have received seven calls from various places of which two are local calls," Karunsagar told ABP News.


Earlier, tension prevailed in Hyderabad's Old City as people staged protests against Raja Singh for his alleged derogatory remarks. Police resorted to lathi-charge on Wednesday to control protesters who raised slogans, burnt effigies and pelted stones. According to the ABP Desam report, more than fifty people were injured after the police resorted to lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.
