Chennai: “Right before dawn, Lotus can be seen blooming in Telangana,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinting at the rise of BJP in the Telugu-speaking state on Saturday.

Addressing the people near Begumpet Airport, PM Narendra Modi in Begumpet, Telangana said, “It's sad that those who prospered in the name of Telangana, went ahead, came to power, pushed the state back. Telangana's government and leaders always do injustice to the state's capability and the talent of its people."

"The political party that people of Telangana trusted the most, is the party that did the biggest betrayal to Telangana. When the darkness grows, Lotus starts blooming in that situation. Right before dawn, Lotus can be seen blooming in Telangana," he said.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone to a project worth over Rs 10,500 crores in Andhra Pradesh. He laid the foundation stones to project including Greenfield Raipur- Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor, Port Road from Convent Junction to Sheela Nagar Junction in Visakhapatnam, U-field Onshore Deepwater block project of ONGC in Andhra Pradesh, redevelopment of Visakhapatnam Railway Station and upgradation of Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour.

After the inauguration, PM Modi flew to Telangana and he addressed a public meeting at Begumpet airport. Later, PM will also lay foundation stone of multiple projects worth over Rs. 9500 crore in Ramagundam.

However, just like before, PM Modi was not welcomed by Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao at the airport on Saturday. It's also likely that KCR may skip the foundation stone laying ceremony to be held in Ramagundam.
