A man stabbed his mother's live-in partner to death at Medipally in Hyderabad on Sunday. According to the ABP Desam report, Kola Venkata Ramana Murthy, 47, who worked at an old age home as a caretaker in Peerzadiguda and resided at Medipally, had eloped with Dhanalakshmi about 14 years back.

Through Facebook, Dhanalakshmi's son, Srikanth Reddy, 26, tracked her down and found that she was residing in Hyderabad. Srikanth found her last month and brought her with him to their hometown, Telaprolu, in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district.

Murthy, on the other hand, is said to have been calling Dhanalaskhmi and pressuring her to return to the city. On Sunday, Srikanth arrived in Hyderabad and went to Murthy's home in Medipally.

Police claim that after they consumed liquor, an inebriated Srikanth attacked Murthy on the head with a gas cylinder before stabbing him with a knife. After receiving information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem. A case has been filed.
