A 7-Year-Old boy was seriously injured after being crushed by a car at the Raidurgam Police Station limits of Cyberabad on Sunday.


The boy and his friend were playing at their community open space when the car ran over them. While one boy escaped immediately, the other boy got crushed under the car.


The boy has been taken to a nearby hospital. The police registered a case, and the driver has been booked for rash and negligent driving.


In a similar incident, on Sunday, five people, including three women, were killed in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla district.


According to the IANS report, the accident occurred when a car overturned after hitting the road divider on the Medarametla bypass on the highway in Bapatla district. The car was then hit by a truck.
The deceased include the wife and daughter of Sub-Inspector Shaik Samandar Vali.


According to the police, the car was heading towards Guntur from Ongole. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider. The car overturned and fell on the other side of the road. A truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the car.


All five occupants of the car died on the spot.

According to police, SI Vali had taken his wife, daughter, and two women from the neighbouring family with him while going for duty at Tirunala in Chinnaganjam. After darshan at a Shiva temple, the SI asked the car driver to drop them back at Addanki.


The deceased were identified as Wahida (39), Ayesha (9), G. Vijayasri (50), G. Divya Teja (27), and driver Brahmachari.


In another incident, three college students were killed and one injured in a road accident in Telangana's Nagarkurnool district on Friday.


According to the police, the accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling overturned near the Marchal village in Kalwakurthy Mandal.


Four students of a private college in Hyderabad were returning after attending the wedding of a friend. The deceased hailed from Nalgonda district and were staying in a college hostel in Hyderabad.


A police officer said the preliminary investigations show that the vehicle overturned and fell by the roadside as the person at the wheel apparently lost control due to overspeed.
