New Delhi: With day temperature soaring in Telangana, the state school education department on Monday issued orders to implement half day in all schools from Tuesday (March 15) to the last working day of the academic year 2021-2022.


In a release, the Director of School Education said that from Tuesday, all the government and private schools will function from 8 AM to 12.30 PM.


Special classes for the Class 10 students preparing for the SSC Public Examinations will be continued, the release further clarified.

"All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are hereby directed to communicate the above orders to the schools functioning under all managements and monitor the implementation," reads the release.



Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department on Friday has issued a heatwave warning to many parts of Gujarat, Vidarbha, southwest Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha, Kerala & Mahe, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu.






But the recent IMD updates on Monday suggest that heatwave to severe heatwave conditions in parts of Saurashtra-Kutch & Konkan and heatwave conditions over Coastal Karnataka, Southwest Rajasthan & Gujarat region.
