Telangana CM Revanth Anumula voiced concern over the attack on Hyderabad student Syed Mazhar Ali in Chicago after the fatal incident involving B. Shreyas Reddy in Ohio. The CM called on External Affairs Minister Jaishankar to address safety issues for Indian students in the US and pledged to establish a dedicated help desk to support Telangana youth abroad.


























An Indian-origin student in Chicago, United States, Syed Mazhar Ali was assaulted and robbed of his phone by four armed individuals near his residence. In a video, the student described being kicked and punched by the assailants and detailed the incident where his phone was forcibly taken from him.














Taking to X, CM Revanth said, "Very disconcerted to learn of the attack on Syed Mazhar Ali, a student from #Hyderabad, by four robbers in #Chicago. This follows a fatal attack on B. Shreyas Reddy, who was killed in Ohio. I request Hon'ble External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar ji to kindly convey our concerns over safety of our students and citizens living there.

The incident has sparked concern since four Indian-origin students died in the United States earlier this year.
