New Delhi: Coming down heavily on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said countdown for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government has begun and the fight of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will only stop when the current regime is dethroned. Lashing out at the chief minister, he said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was made BRS to divert the attention of the people. Mocking KCR’s dream of becoming the prime minister, Shah said, “He is dreaming about becoming the Prime Minister but the PM's chair is not vacant because Modi is going to become the Prime Minister once again with full majority in 2024.”
Amit Shah made the remarks while addressing a rally at Chevella near Hyderabad on Sunday evening. His visit to Telangana is a part of the 'Parliament Prabhas Yojana' programme.
The Union Minister also slammed the Telangana government over the recent arrest of state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay over his alleged connections to TSPSC paper leak.
“You could not even put him in jail for 24 hours. Listen carefully, KCR. No one in BJP is scared of going to jail. We will fight together to remove you from the government," Amit Shah said.
“I want to ask CM KCR that before BJP formed the government, how much did Telangana get in the previous budgets? Earlier, Telangana used to get Rs 30,000 crores and in 2022-2023 PM Narendra Modi gave Rs 1,20,000 lakh crores. Only BJP can do the work of development here,” he said, adding, “The police here are completely politicised. All welfare schemes that PM Modi sends here, don't reach the common man. No matter what Chief Minister KCR does, he can't keep people of Telangana away from PM Modi.”
It is to be noted that the political one-upmanship between the ruling BRS in Telangana and the BJP has reached new heights during recent times with war of words between the two parties becoming almost a daily affair.
