Bihar Political Crisis: TRS MLC Kavitha Hails Nitish Kumar, Says 'Backdoor Politics' Countered Well

Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar is set to take oath as Bihar Chief Minister on Wednesday for the record eighth time after parting ways with BJP and joining hands with Tejashwi Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Tejashwi Yadav will be sworn in as deputy to CM Nitish. The political crisis in Bihar has attracted comments from other politicians. One among them is the ruling government in Telangana -- TRS.

On this note, former Nizamabad MP and TRS MLC K Kavitha slammed the ruling BJP government at Centre and said that the era of backdoor politics has been countered well by Nitish Kumar. Speaking to mediapersons in Hyderabad, Kavitha opined that this is a positive change for the whole nation.

"I believe it's a positive change for the whole nation because the era of backdoor politics has been countered very well by Nitish Kumar. I appreciate the efforts he has taken & Mahagathbandhan who stood behind him to uphold the verdict given by people of Bihar," News agency ANI said quoting TRS leader Kavitha.

Hoping this will lead to an end to backdoor entries in politics, she said that Bihar has started the way. "This backdoor politics should be stopped, in one or the other way. Bihar has started the way. Nalanda has always shown the way to the world, now to the country I believe. I hope it repeats everywhere else," Kavitha said.

SP's Akhilesh Lauds Nitish's Decision, BJP Condemns The Move

Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Assembly and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav hailed Nitish's decision of parting ways with BJP and joining hands with RJD. Akhilesh termed the move by Nitish as a "good start" towards taking a stand against BJP.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders and Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and RK Singh condemned JD(U) chief's decision saying it has no morality. Union Minister Singh raked up allegations that Nitish often called RJD "corrupt" and questioned the JD(U) leader on how he would justify his alliance with RJD. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said Nitish Kumar is disrespecting the mandate of Bihar's people. He claimed Nitish's remarks about BJP destroying JD(U) were "baseless".
