Bandi Sanjay Slams KCR, Accuses Him Of Staging Drama To Tarnish BJP's Image

Sanjay dared the Chief Minister to visit Yadadri and swear by Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy that he had not staged any drama on claims that BJP attempted to lure four TRS MLAs.

Telangana State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday dismissed claims that the BJP attempted to lure four TRS MLAs with cash. He criticised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for attempting to tarnish the image of BJP ahead of the Munugode by-election by staging the drama.

He said, "The operation was directed by the Pragathi Bhavan and conducted by the theatre company of TRS MLAs and the Police Department."

Addressing media persons at Marriguda, Sanjay said the farmhouse was theirs (TRS leaders’), and the victims, culprits and complainants were the same in the entire episode.

Sanjay dared the Chief Minister to visit Yadadri and swear by Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy that he had not staged any drama. He requested an investigation by a sitting judge in to the matter.

He demanded that the State government make public the CCTV footage from Pragathi Bhavan, Deccan Kitchen and the farmhouse that was raided in the past few days. This would reveal the facts about the conspiracy, he said. The BJP leader also questioned why the police did not record statements of the MLAs. "Why did they not go to the police station instead of being left at Pragati Bhavan? He asked.

On Wednesday, Hyderabad police claimed to have apprehended three individuals attempting to "buy" four Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs (TRS).

The three were detained while trying to give money to four MLAs during a raid at an Aziz Nagar farmhouse on the city's outskirts.

So far, the cops are said to have confiscated Rs 15 crore. The agreement could be worth up to Rs 100 crore, said Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs Guvvala Balaraju, Rega Kantha Rao , Pilot Rohit Reddy and Beeram Harshvardhan Reddy had alerted police that attempts were being made to lure them into switching loyalties.

The Commissioner said the MLAs claimed that some BJP leaders were attempting to persuade them to leave the TRS by promising them high-profile jobs, lucrative contracts, and large sums of money.

Those detained are Simhayajulu from Tirupati and Ramachandra Bharati from Delhi, both said to be temple priests and Nanda Kumar, a businessman from Hyderabad.

Police officials stated that the case was still being investigated.
