AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday said the country requires a third front apart from NDA and I.N.D.I.A alliances, PTI reported. Owaisi also called out the Opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc as a "bade chaudhriyon (elites) ka club" who "abuse us (AIMIM)".

The Hyderabad MP also emphasised that the "political sagacity" and foresight of Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao should not be underestimated.

"Political sagacity and foresight of Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao should not be underestimated. Apart from NDA and INDIA alliances, the country needs a third front as well," said AIMIM chief.

Speaking about the INDIA alliance, Asaduddin remarked, "That is not an alternative. Congress governed the country for around 50 years & BJP governed for around 18 years now. The country needs a third govt - apart from BJP and Congress...We will fight our own battle. Wo bade chaudhriyon ka club hai, usmein ek elite kism ke chaudhary baithe hain. They abuse us..."

Asaduddin Owaisi also criticised the decision to honour "The Kashmir Files" film with the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration at the 69th National Film Awards, as reported by The Siasat Daily.

“Does that film promote national integration? Muslims were abused, hate speeches were delivered and an atmosphere of hate was created after the screening of that movie. Kashmiris were also abused,” Owais stated.
