YouTube Music is apparently getting ready to unveil a new AI feature. As per reports, the upcoming feature will allow users to search for their desired music by using verbal prompts and voice commands. People will be able to describe music videos or request music akin to a specific song or artist. As per a report by the Android Authority, this new AI-powered feature was found in the YouTube Music app for Android version 7.06.53.

Reports have further hinted that this feature is still undergoing its experiment phase. On the other hand, the disclaimer in the code states, “AI-generated responses are experimental. Quality and accuracy may vary. Please don’t enter confidential or personal information regarding yourself or others.”

At the moment, YouTube Music users need to manually feed the names of their desired songs or artists in order to search for them. However, this new feature represents a huge improvement by allowing users to use language commands to get their requests fulfilled. In the beginning, a few groups of Android devices will have access to this feature but, it is expected to be rolled out for the wider public in some time as well.

YouTube New Feature: Hum To Search

On a side note, YouTube Music has introduced a feature known as “Hum to Search” for a song. This new feature lets users search for any song that they want to find by simply humming, singing or by whistling a melody. This feature is here to rid us of the burden of remembering the correct lyrics to find a song. The feature is very useful for users to discover songs they have heard but may not remember the exact title or artist.

YouTube also allows users to make playlist covers generated by artificial intelligence.
