WhatsApp users may be soon able to send video messages to their friends and family members. The feature is being tested, according to a report by WhatsApp beta tester WABetaInfo, and the feature would let users send short videos of up to 60 seconds with their contacts on the messaging platform. The Meta-owned company has started testing the ability to send messages in beta for both iOS and Android users.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature is being tested on version 23.12.0.71 for iOS and version 2.23.13.4 of WhatsApp beta for Android. The ability to send new video messages is located on the chat bar at the bottom of the screen, which is next to the buttons for attachments, the camera and the WhatsApp Pay icon; this is available in select regions. The easiest way to check if the ability to record a video message is enabled for your WhatsApp account is to tap the microphone button within the chat bar in any conversation.
