Overall UPI downtime reports have also crossed 40, with more users flagging issues as the day progresses. The disruptions appear to be affecting multiple cities across India.

Which Cities Are Affected By The UPI Outage?

The outage is not limited to one region. UPI disruptions have been reported in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Pune, among other cities.

SBI users are facing a more widespread impact, with complaints coming in from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Pune, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Chennai.

UCO Bank users reporting issues are largely based in New Delhi, Jaipur, and Kolkata.

While SBI appears to be dealing with a major outage, UCO Bank's disruption is comparatively smaller in scale but is still affecting transactions for its users.

What Are Users Saying On X About The UPI Outage?

Reactions on X have been a mixed bag. Some users are frustrated over failed payments, others are confused about whether the issue is at their end or the bank's, and many are simply angry at the disruption. The complaints range from transactions getting stuck mid-way to UPI apps refusing to load entirely.

It is worth noting that UPI outages, while not frequent, do occur from time to time and are usually resolved within a few hours. Users are advised to wait and retry transactions once services are restored, or use alternative payment methods in the meantime.
