Twitter is set to give a facelift to its audio chat feature "Spaces". According to the micro-blogging platform, a new Twitter Spaces tab would be added to the Twitter app itself. The company has confirmed that it is experimenting with a new tab for Twitter Spaces within the app, the media has reported.
Twitter is testing a revamped look as well as feel for Twitter Spaces, according to a report by TechCrunch. There’s also a feature called “Your daily digest,” which includes a selection of programs that can be played with a click of a button. The tab also shows the users who are listening, much as it does now. However, the micro-blogging site did not mention a specific timeframe as to if and when the changes would be implemented.
Earlier last month the micro-blogging site had confirmed that it is testing a new status feature that lets users tag posts with pre-defined labels, much like the statuses that the previous LiveJournal and MySpace systems permitted. Some of these statuses include "Spoiler alert," "Shower thoughts," "Picture of the day" and, for some reason, the very redundant "Current status".
Users can not customise their statuses as of now, a report said.
"For a limited time, we are testing a feature that allows you to add a status topic from a predetermined list to your Tweets to provide more context for your followers," Twitter was quoted as saying by TechCrunch.
"So whether you are about to drop a hot Tweet thread, share your shower thoughts, or have a bad case of the Mondays, your Tweets can better convey what you are up to," the company added.
