iPhone 15 Series To Get USB-C Charging


Years after Android smartphones, Apple may finally switch to USB-C for charging on its iPhone models. The tech giant is likely to start with iPhone 15 lineup that is said to launch this fall. According to the first look of an alleged port attached to flexible PCB assemblies, we can say that the iPhone 15 series would come with USB-C instead of a lightning cable. According to leaked images, posted by leaksters @John011235 and @lipilipsi on X, the USB type-C connector ports attached to the flexible PCB component parts would feature in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Plus.

Parliament Passes Digital Personal Data Protection Bill


The Parliament on Wednesday cleared the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill (DPDPB), 2023. The Rajya Sabha passed the bill days after it was cleared in the Lok Sabha. The bill was passed in the Upper House by a voice vote amid sloganeering by the Opposition. The bill would be sent to President Draupadi Murmu for assent after which it would become a law.

Micromax Shifts Focus Towards EVs


Homegrown handset maker Micromax is looking to foray into the electric vehicles (EV) market, in the wake of falling smartphone sales. Its last smartphone launch was back in April 2022. Once a leading smartphone brand in India, the company is now shifting its focus from handsets to mobility and it has laid off "dozens" of employees, says a report by TechCrunch. The company has witnessed the departure of several senior executives, including the chief product officer (CPO), Sunil Joon, who quit and joined DISH Network in Colorado, the US, says his LinkedIn page.

WhatsApp Gets Screen-Sharing Feature During Video Calls


WhatsApp users will now be able to share their screens during video calls. This innovative feature aims to enrich the video-calling experience on the platform and positions WhatsApp in direct competition with established video conferencing applications like Microsoft Meet, Google Meet, Zoom, and Apple's FaceTime. The unveiling of this new functionality was made by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg via a post on Facebook and his Instagram channel.

OnePlus' first foldable smartphone in the market, the OnePlus Open, might cost less than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5, which launched recently in India. According to known tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus Open could be priced between Rs 1,10,000-Rs 1,20,000 that makes it cheaper than the new Galaxy Z Fold 5, which costs Rs 1,54,999.
