Instagram Threads May Bring Save Post Feature


Meta's competitor to X, Instagram Threads, has initiated testing of a highly requested feature called "save posts" within the app. This functionality enables users to bookmark their favourite posts for viewing later. The announcement of this feature came from Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, via a Threads post. Mosseri mentioned that the company has just begun a limited test of this feature.


Google's New Pilot Launched, To Protect From Financial Fraud


Google has launched a new initiative called "enhanced fraud protection" in collaboration with Google Play Protect, aimed at providing improved defence against financial fraud attacks for Android users. The company plans to introduce the pilot programme in Singapore in the coming weeks, in partnership with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA).

Samsung's newest fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit 3, seems to be headed for an earlier release than anticipated. The Galaxy Fit 3's user manual has surfaced online, and the device has already been sighted in stores ahead of its official announcement, says a report by 9to5 Google. The fitness tracker would provide typical smartwatch functionalities along with a range of health and wellness benefits, such as food and calorie monitoring, step tracking, and workout logging.

200 Per Cent Rise In Connected Smart Devices In 3 Years, Says Amazon India


On Thursday, Amazon commemorated its voice-controlled smart assistant Alexa's sixth anniversary in India and the company also announced a staggering 200 per cent increase in Alexa-connected smart home devices in the country over the past three years. During the last three years, alongside the rise in connected devices, the retail giant witnessed doubling in requests on Alexa for controlling compatible smart home appliances such as smart lights, plugs, fans, TVs, security cameras, ACs, water heaters and air purifiers.

Apple Vision Pro Being Sold At Up To $6,000 In Non-US Markets


Apple Vision Pro headset has sparked a secondary market where prices are soaring well beyond its initial $3,499 price tag. As reported by Bloomberg, in Japan's Mercari marketplace, the base 256GB model fetched 800,000 yen (roughly $5,400 or Rs 4.5 lakh), while sellers on China's Taobao are demanding 36,000 yuan ($5,000). Similarly, in Singapore, a seller on Lazada is seeking 8,500 Singaporean dollars ($6,300) for the device. In Hong Kong's bustling Mong Kok, an electronics importer specialising in early gadgets is asking for 35,800 Hong Kong dollars ($4,580), with prices fluctuating daily. Despite these steep figures, experts caution potential buyers to exercise patience.
