Apple Brings Over 600 Apps, Games For Vision Pro


Apple has revealed a collection of over 600 apps and games crafted for the upcoming Apple Vision Pro mixed reality (MR) headset, set to launch on February 2. Priced at $3,499, the Vision Pro offers spatial experiences that can convert any room into a personalized theater for sports, TV shows, and films. It introduces fresh avenues for collaboration, content creation, and digital viewing, while immersing users in captivating gaming environments and exciting new locations. "With more than 600 new spatial experiences to explore in the all-new App Store, alongside more than 1 million compatible apps across iOS and iPadOS, users can discover a wide array of apps that expand the boundaries of what’s possible,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, revealed plans to promptly initiate a shareholder vote for relocating Tesla's legal domicile from Delaware to Texas. This decision follows a Delaware judge's ruling deeming Musk's $56 billion pay package unfair, prompting the Tesla board to devise a new compensation proposal.


Nothing Officially Gives A Sneak Peek Into Nothing Phone (2a)


London-based tech brand Nothing on Thursday (February 1) officially revealed the name of its upcoming smartphone. The next smartphone from Nothing will be called the Phone (2a). This announcement was included in Nothing's recent quarterly Community Update as well. Leaks and rumours surrounding the Nothing Phone (2a) are doing the rounds. This is the company's purported midrange version of the Phone (2), and it is likely to hit the market by the end of February.

HMD Drops Nokia Branding For Smartphones


HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of Nokia-branded phones for the past eight years, said on Thursday that it will no longer use the iconic Nokia name in its upcoming launches. HMD Global has rebranded Nokia's social handles and website to Human Mobile Devices (HMD), with the Nokia.com/phones URL redirecting to HMD Global's site. HMD Global has unveiled a teaser video, confirming the brand's commitment to serving a broad spectrum of customers in the market.

Meta-owned WhatsApp is said to be developing a new chat lock feature, aiming to enhance the security of private conversations by enabling users to lock their chats within the service's web client. According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on integrating a locked chat feature into its web client. The secured chats are likely to be housed in a dedicated tab, aiming to offer an additional level of privacy and security for private conversations.
